Brown enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1964 and served 4 active years as a Field Artillery Surveyor Operation Man and two years in the reserves. I remember so vividly my times around Mr. Brown Hoover! He was direct and honest, caring and accepting, and his dry sense of humor was a joy to be around! The love he had for his children and family? There was nothing more genuine, vulnerable, and authentic than the love he poured out to them. My memories of Brown make me smile.
