Obituary for Cheryl Storm

Cheryl Jo Storm

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Jo Storm, age 61, on September 14, 2022 after her courageous fight against cancer. Cheryl was born on March 19, 1962 in Rochester, New York, to the late Salvaltrice Misuraca Marcella and James Dominick Reitano. Cheryl is predeceased by her uncles, John Misuraca, Angelo Misuraca, and Mario Misuraca.

Cheryl is survived by her cherished husband, John Albert Storm, her two sons, Nicholas John Storm, Alexander John Storm, and son Alex’s significant other, Madeleine Rae Polk. She is also survived by her brother, James Robert Reitano, his wife Lisa Marie Reitano, her nieces Krystle Reitano, Rachael Conrad (grandniece, Madelyn Young and grandnephew, Aiden Conrad), and Nicole Wenrich, her nephews Charles John Coons, and Justin Reitano (grandnephew, Dominick Reitano), her aunts, Katarina Misuraca, Theresa Misuraca, and Kathy Bellapianta, along with many beloved cousins. Additionally, Cheryl is survived by her two dogs, Sunday Brunch and Finley Louise, and her three cats, Fox, Liza, and Dante.

She loved her Deerfield Beach and BSO Fire Rescue Family. For over 20 years, working alongside six different Fire Chiefs while maintaining her unofficial title of #BOSSLADY. She will be missed by the countless coworkers near and far that she touched.

To her friends, she was forever the life of the party. Dancing if the occasion called for it or not, keeping the conversation lively so that the fun would never end, and enjoying the good times spent together. She was also that sympathizing ear that would help you through life’s toughest challenges. These relationships grew so deep that their generosity and support through her own challenge are beyond comparison.

Cheryl was most proud of her family and her role as a mother. A loving relationship with John of 38 years; the personality of son Nick (which was much like her own); the kindness of son Alex who also shared her great sense of humor and smile; her ambitious daughter Maddie who loved each others company; and a shared everlasting bond with older brother Jim, wife Lisa, and many cousins.

The family would like to invite you all to join in the celebration of Cheryl’s life.
The service will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at 9:30 am in the
