Obituary for Cody Clayville

Cody "TeBeau" was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on March 11, 2000 to Beau and Ana Clayville. He is predeceased by Jerry A. Clayville, Darlene M. Hatchell and Francisco Chavez. He is survived by his parents as well as other family and loved ones including Elizabeth Hazlett, Jade Mowat, Andrew Mowat, Brandon Mowat, Taylor Mowat, Ena Chavez-Mantuano, Robert Cox, Shayne Clayville, Hank Soler, Frank Chavez, Noah Chavez, Nicole Chavez, Hanai Martinez, his cat and best buddy of many years, Bluff, countless friends, many cousins, and distant relatives all spread across the North and South American continents.

Cody was the light of our lives. Pure personality and the will of a bull. So smart, handsome, charming and a heart as big as the world.

He loved spending time with his family, loving girlfriend, Hanai, and friends, eating delicious foods from around the world, going to the beach, dressing up and looking good, listening to good music, making people laugh, playing video games, fishing, watching or playing football, riding dirt bikes, three-wheelers, Jet Skis, airboats, especially cars and pretty much anything that made noise. Cody was passionate about life and made a point of trying to get everyone to take a break and enjoy life and all the good things it has to offer. He was the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful, loving, and passionate soul, a true joy to be around.

As a boy, Cody was constantly with his pop-pop Jerry who adored him. They were two peas in a pod: you didn’t see one without the other. Like his pop-pop, Cody worked hard and played hard, always had a kind word, a smile and never met a stranger. He went out of his way to be sure everyone was looked after.

Cody thought the world of his friends and tried helping every one of them whom he could. He was leaving his boyhood behind and becoming a man who demonstrated great character and compassion.

Cody always saw himself as a protector and, at the tender age of 22 and one month, his life was taken when he was shot multiple times and killed while trying to defend a friend. Cody showed the utmost dedication and respect to his friends. He lived for them and now he died for them.

Cody was one child. A child who filled our world. A child who has left a gaping hole of pain that could swallow the universe. He wanted everyone’s life to be better and happier because he was in it. Now he has left us with only memories of his beautiful smile and zest for life.
